How old were you when you first started wearing makeup?
well, i stared wearing lipgloss and stuff in like 3rd grade, then sixth grade i started wearing eyeshadow and concealer occasionally, by 7th grade i was wearing concealer, eyeshadow and mascara almost everyday. 8th grade i was wearing eyeliner, lipgloss, eyeshadow, mascara, concealer, foundation and that. then, at the beginning of 9th grade, i was wearing a little bit of makeup if my skin was looking okay, but mostly i wear everything including bronzer and blush and highlights and stuff. i know it sounds like a lot, but really, i use it minimally, and i almost always do natural looks for school.

How did you get into makeup?
in sixth grade, my mom did my makeup for picture day because of my skin, and then every once in a while she would do it. then i started learning how to do it by experimenting on myself, and eventually i discovered Elle Fowler on youtube, then soon after i found Blair, and now i constantly search for new gurus and i would LOVE to become one myself at 14 :))
What are some of your favourite brands?
my favorite brand is urban decay. i love the colors, and the names are so interesting, not the normal "Bronze Goddess" or "vanilla bean" lol. and their packaging is cute, and i like the quality of it. another favorite brand would be bare essentials.

What does makeup mean to you?
it means a way to have a little bit of fun in the mornings. i have no idea what makeup means to me. i just. use it. everyday!

If you could only wear 4 products on your face what would they be?
foundation
mascara
lip gloss
gold eyeshadow

What is your favorite thing about makeup?
the ability to apply it to someone else and have their confidence sky rocket, because they know that they're beautiful, i always make sure to tell people that they're gorgeous before i put on makeup and unless they're preforming, i keep it natural so that the natural pretty shines through ;)

What do you think about drugstore makeup vs high end makeup?
i find that sometimes eyeshadows from the dollar store last longer than a $50 pallette. just saying. im not biased, i dont own MAC, but i do own a LOT of higher end products, as well as drugstore products. i think someone who uses exclusively high end products is severley limiting their ability to discover new things... but that's just me, they can continue being brand whores.

What is one tip of advice you can give to a beginner?
do whatever pleases you, and always ask your mother before leaving the house. if she says you look like a clown, listen to her. even though sometimes you may want to rebel, it's not worth it.

What is one makeup trend you never understood?
i read that colorful eyebrows were a trend... no thanks i think i'll keep mine natural...

What do you think about the beauty community on YouTube?
I think its pretty awesome. i hate how a few people who claim that all gurus get free stuff are ruining it. why dont you just not watch the videos if you disagree with it so much? gahh!
